About

Amber

I took my first yoga class at fifteen, at the gym by my house. That now makes more than twenty-five years of getting on the mat. I've practiced intensely, but sometimes it was "just stretching" and honestly, sometimes my mat gathered dust.

I'm not the bendiest person in the room. My last wheel might be in my past. But yoga has taught me a lot about what it means to live in this body, and I'm excited to share what I've learned.

I completed my teacher training in Nepal in a traditional hatha school and I continue to expand my education through self-study.

You Are Here

I believe that if you can breathe, you can practice yoga. All of the athletics, and handstands and vinyasa flows are a potentially fun bonus that helps us grow. If any of that turns you off, know that breath is the only requirement.

Yoga doesn't require us to change. But if we consistently meet ourselves on the mat, change will happen, in our bodies and in our minds. There is nothing about you or your body that disqualifies you from practicing yoga.

In my sessions, we focus on how poses feel rather than how they look, alignment for function, not Instagram, and meeting ourselves exactly where we are. Yoga should feel good in your body.
